Man United News: Mourinho gives update on team.
Jose Mourihno while speaking to the press team at his pre-match press conference mentioned the team news and injury update ahead of the the clash between his team and West Ham at the London Stadium.
The united boss was quick to mention both Alexis Sanchez and Phil Jones return to the team to play and would be present in action come tomorrow night at the capital after they both suffered injuries. Sanches suffered a knock while jones had a muscle problem causing them both miss out on the Brighton win.
Reports on Lukaku wasn’t favorable as the striker still surfers from the ankle injury sustained from in the clash against Arsenal last month. Lukaku has been ruled out for two months meaning he wouldn’t be in playing terms during manchesters two league finals, missing the games against West Ham and Watford.
In other to be fit against Chelsea in the FA final coming up on the 19th of May Lukaka would have to work his fitness training hard to gain more grounds has time runs.
fellani Marouane will also be missing Uniteds clash against West Ham following the muscle injury sustained against Brightons clash but would be fit enough to make the finals.
Mourinho also shared that Micheal Carrick would be starting the united final against Walford on sunday following Carick would be retiring come the end of the season.
Mourinho said to ManUtd.com:
“In terms of injuries, its Lukaku and Fellani. They are the two players who are not available for tomorrow [Thursday], [Phil] Jones is back, Sanchez is back and there are no more problem.”
“Lukaku will not play in the last league game of the season. Fellani might – it is a muscular problem. We will wait and see.”
“He [Carrick] will start the last match at Old Trafford, the last of the Premier League. Our captain, in front of our fans, he will start the match against Watford.”
The United have two games left in the league and regardless the result are already placed second place on the league table but Mourinho would want to finish with a the first place as champions in the fought coming finals.
